Year 6 have made a welcome return and settled in well to their new classroom, routines and responsibilities. This half term Year 6 will be studying ‘Interdependence and Adaptation’ in Science, recognising how animals are suited to the habitat in which they live, representing feeding relationships in food chains beginning with a green plant and using keys to identify plants and animals.
In ICT the children will use Powerpoint program to organise, refine and present a set of linked multimedia pages, which incorporate images, sounds and text. They will be studying European travel and the discovery of the Aztec civilisation in History. In Art the theme is ‘People in Action’ and the children will be exploring and drawing the movement of figures. They will learn to use set phrases to talk about the family, understand the numbers 21-30 and learn the vocabulary of colours during French lessons. In PE lessons they will receive specialist basketball training.

Well done Year 6, your work looks fantastic. I particularly like the poems and the wonderful recordings of them being read.
