Last Friday Year 3 set for a walk around Whickham to find out what their local area used to be like. We started off at Whickham park and had our packed lunch, the we went to look at the Old Windmill, the Council Offices, St. MAry's Church, the Rectory, Park Cottage, the Old Parochial School and Lang Jack's monument. We ended our walk at Whickham library where we looked at old maps and photographs.
We had a lovely day and learnt alot about our local area.
