SATs timetable and info

Hello Year 6

Just a bit of information for SATs week. Firstly, the timetable:

All of our tests will begin as soon as possible in the first session of the morning with the exception of the mental maths test, which will be after break on Wednesday.

  • Monday: Reading test
  • Tuesday: Writing test
  • Wedesday: Maths Paper A, then Mental Maths after break
  • Thursday: Maths Paper B

You can take drinks into the hall with you, as it’s important to stay hydrated, but I would prefer it to be water, as we don’t want your teeth to fall out! You can also take a lucky charm into the test as long as it isn’t big, distracting, or a calculator!  Remember to get a good night’s sleep tonight and try not to worry, I’ve been going through old tests again today and I can’t see anything you wouldn’t all be able to have a go at.

Keep calm and just enjoy showing off how brilliant you are.

  1. Today in SATS I thought it was quite tricky but I’m glad it’s done, just 4 more tests to go!

todays SATs were alright because we didn’t have to answer any questions, we just had to write things down! just the maths left to do!!!!!!!

There’s no doubt today was a tricky test, but you all coped brilliantly – I was very impressed. I’m sure you will all continue to do your best and all of the staff are very proud of you!
Well done Y6 – keep it up and keep smiling

The SATs aren’t as hard as I had expected them to be, but there were some questions that proved a challenge on the reading. I just hope the maths isn’t too hard!

  4. people say that the SATS are soooo hard and scary but they’re actually OK! Only one more on to go and it’s maths (looking forward to that…not really.) I liked the one about the great plague and the hot air balloon- but not the talent show one or the spellings (they were tricky!) The first maths one was OK and the mental maths.

  5. SATS wernt THAT hard!!!!
