Look at Y5’s Greek style pottery!

For our topic on Ancient Greece we have been looking at Ancient Greek pottery. We were inspired to create our own pots using the pinch pot method, and then we decorated them using colours and simple patterns similar to those found on Ancient Greek vessels.

Clay was a very important part of Ancient Greek culture. Back then glass and plastic were not available to make containers out of but clay was easy to find. Pots were made in all different shapes and sizes depending on their purpose. The decoration on pots can tell us much about life in Ancient Greece.
