Chicks in Reception Class

It's been an egg-citing week in Reception...nine eggs hatched, resulting in some extremely cute chicks! The eggs came from Bill Quay Farm, and the chicks (a rare breed) will be with us until the beginning of next week. They've fascinated the children, and some of them have drawn some great pictures.

Saying Good-bye to Mrs Walker

Children in Reception Class were sad to say good-bye to Mrs Walker but we all enjoyed a party with her before she left. We also sang her some special songs. Mrs Walker is going to come with us when we visit Whitehouse Farm next week.

Reception Autumn Topics

During the first half term, reception children will be learning to cope with the many new daily routines at school and develop their independence. They will begin to build new relationships with their classmates and will work as part of a group or class, taking turns and sharing fairly. Our main themes will be ‘All About Me’ and Autumn.
