Social Club starts again on Tuesday 23rd February, for Years 3 and 4.
Here are the children who were elected as school councillors for the school year 2009 - 2010. An enthusiastic group of children, they care deeply about making sure our school is a place where all the children are happy. Our first meeting of 2010 took place today and there was lots to talk about!

Social Club will be open to Year 5 and 6 pupils this half term, starting on Tuesday 19th January.
A small group of dedicated children have formed an Ecoclub with the aim to get involved in practical activities that help to look after our planet and its people. In the first half term of the club's existence, the children have successfully set up a fairtrade tuck shop for Key Stage 2 pupils which runs every Friday during morning break. The foods for sale have been selected with healthy eating in mind, and are all purchased from Traidcraft.

I was very proud of our Y5 basketball team who represented our class and school well at Whickham School last night.
Our team was Anna, Jess, Alex, Sarah, Emily, Jon, Ethan & Callum P.
Results:
6-0 v Parkhead (Emily, Ethan & Alex scored) - wonderful shooting!
0-4 v St Mary's - they won the whole tournament in the end.
0-0 v Brighton Ave - we should have won, our poorest performance.
2-0 v Winlaton West - (Ethan scored a long-shot) - a super match against a good team.
We missed out on the semi-final place for best runners-up by just one point. CLOSE!
An enjoyable experience for the whole team - well done all!
